4 Days Selous Game Reserve Safari

This 4 Days Selous safari takes you to one of Tanzania’s most unspoilt national parks, which is home to a diverse range of wildlife and bird species, making it one of Tanzania’s must-see places. This park is ideal for travelers on the southern circuit of the safari. Apart from the busy northern circuit, Selous offers an unspoiled wildlife travel experience. Giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, wildebeests, lions, hyenas, elephants, and black rhinos are some of the more common animals seen in the Selous game reserve.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart by Road to Selous Game Reserve + -

After breakfast depart Dar by road (approx 6 hours to Mtemere gate).

Lunch upon arrival at Selous.

Afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. You will see plenty of hippos, crocodiles and bird life.

Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp

Day 2 – A Full Day of Game Drives in Selous Game Reserve + -

After breakfast, morning game drive in the Selous, Africa's largest wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54.600kms.

Lunch at Rufiji River Camp

Afternoon game drive in the Selous with the world's largest number of big game - elephant, buffalo, rhino, hippos, giraffes and wildebeest.

Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Day 3 – A Full Day of Walking/ Boating Safaris in the Selous + -

After breakfast, go on a morning walking safari with intimate impressions of the rich wildlife in the African bush.

Lunch at Rufiji River Camp

Afternoon boating safari in the Great Rufiji River.

Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp

Day 4 - Depart for Dar es Salaam + -

After breakfast, depart for Dar es salaam by road.

Picnic lunch en route.

Late afternoon arrival in Dar.
