Top Destinations
Tanzania stands out as a premier travel destination due to its extraordinary natural wonders, rich wildlife, and cultural depth.
Arusha National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
Only one third of this national park is land, the rest is swamp or water. The area has a size of 325km² and is about a 2 hour drive from Arusha. On the way from Arusha to Manyara you will not get bored.
You will see the beautiful Maasai walking from village to village. You will also see some of the typical Maasai villages with little houses and cattle.
Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is actually part of the Serengeti plains to which the Maasai Mara (Kenya) also belongs to. If you drive from Arusha to the Serengeti, you will drive through the NCA.
The most famous part of the NCA is the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is with 265km² only three percent of the total NCA.
Tarangire National Park
This park attracts a great amount of animals because it contains an important water source, the Tarangire river. Especially in the dry season a lot of animals migrate to Tarangire for this water source. Other times of the year this park gets very green.
If you are interested in seeing the centuries old Baobab trees, this park is a must to visit. According to the Maasai the Baobab was the first tree on earth.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti is the biggest National Park of Tanzania and even listed on the World Heritage List of Unesco. The name of the park comes from the Maasai word ‘siringet’ which means ‘endless plains’.
This is a very suitable name as it is as big as 14800 square kilometers. Over a hundred years ago the Maasai were the first group of people to set foot on the Serengeti plains.
Kilimanjaro National Park
Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing, snow-capped tropical mountain in the planet. Stories about her resident man-eating spirits have been consigned to the realms of mythology now that she has been mapped and climbed.
Mount Kilimanjaro, on the other hand, maintains a mystique that contradicts all current knowledge of her slopes. Images of Tanzania’s remarkable contrasts, such as the towering snow-covered cone rising majestically from rich green slopes, have become a compelling motif.
Lake Natron
Lake Natron is situated north of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and reachable by an adventurous route passing Engaruka village. The area is not as well known as the other nature parks, but it is increasing in popularity.
Temperatures in the lake can reach 50 °C (120 °F) and it is the most important breeding place for flamingos in East Africa. Every year two thousand flamingos come here to lay their eggs.
Mkomazi National Park
Set beneath the verdant slopes of the spectacular Usambara and Pare Eastern Arc Mountain ranges and overseen by Kilimanjaro’s iconic snow-capped peak, Mkomazi National Park is a virgin breathtaking beauty exhibiting unique natural treasures and an immense sense of space – adds to the fulfillment of high visitor enjoyment expectations – a much-needed bridge between the northern circuit and coastal attractions.

Mountain Trekking
Climbing Kilimanjaro
The name Kilimanjaro is a mystery and is thought to signify “Mountain of Light” or “Mountain of Greatness”. Nobody is very certain, yet what isn’t under question is that Mount Kilimanjaro at 5895 meters (19,336 feet) is the most noteworthy top on the African continent and tallest detached mountain on earth. Without a doubt one of Africa’s most sublime sights ascending in awe-inspiring disengagement from the fields beneath.
