Materuni and mandara We absolutely loved our experience with Materuni Tours. They treated us wonderfully, were incredibly patient with us, and the trails were beautiful. I highly recommend our guide, Victus; he's the best, has tons of experience, and is super friendly. As for the accommodation, it's a bit far from the center, but it's well-located for hiking. Awesome safari experience We took a 3 day tour. First day to Tanangire National Park, second day to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and third day to Lake Manyara National Park. Arnold was the perfect safari guide. We saw so many animals, including the big five. When we saw something interesting he let us linger and watch for as long as we wanted to. I can’t believe how lucky we were to have a guide with excellent vision and in-depth knowledge about the animals, the plants and the history of the parks and conservation areas. Materuni Tours Safari Experience I have gone on two 3-day Safari Trips with Materuni Tours and both times were exceptional and life changing. Our tour guide, the riding experience, the places we stayed, and the food we ate were amazing and I always found myself engaged during the long hours riding in the car to see the amazing animals that are viewable at all of the locations we visit. We visited Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and each destination offered something unique and beautiful. A special thank you to our guide, Arnold, who made the trip even more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, baboons, and many other animals in their natural habitat. Arnold shared interesting information throughout the journey and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. My favorite part of the safari was visiting Ngorongoro Crater. Seeing the hippos up close was amazing, and having lunch by the lake surrounded by such incredible scenery was a moment I’ll never forget. It felt like something out of a nature documentary. The entire trip was well organized, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Materuni Tours to anyone looking for an authentic Tanzanian safari experience. traveled solo and want more Amazing experience around Kilimanjaro and Moshi! The guide was very helpful, educated about history, culture, nature, soil, and local tribe Chagga. We heard these local people singing traditional songs. Also explored coffee fields, saw banana plantations, visited waterfalls, drank fresh water there, and took beautiful photos. I even bought real bananas (not fake ones we have in Europe) from a local seller — honestly, it was a small dream come true for me. The whole trip was organized the same day after I contacted them on WhatsApp and number was given by ChatGPT, and they picked me up directly from Moshi town to upper area. Kilimanjaro - Lemosho Route 8 days One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in life was climbing the Kilimanjaro. Materuni Tours is a well organized local company and it did everything great during my journey. Ambrose was always very attentive and took good care preparing the trekking. Emanuel was an amazing guide and helped me a lot during that 8 days. All the team did a great job: the guide, the cook and the porters!! None of that could have happened without them. Kaffe-Tour, Safari und Usambara-Mountains - alles super :) Es ist schon das dritte mal, dass ich mit Materuni Tours Safaris und auch die Kaffee-Tour mache. Die Kaffee-Tour führt durch das Dorf Materuni, durch eine wunderschöne Landschaft zu einem riesigen Wasserfall. Die Wanderung ist nicht anspruchsvoll und wunderschön. Außerdem wird einem gezeigt, wie Kaffe wächst und wie dieser Hergestellt wird bzw. kann man ihn selber herstellen. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Danach haben wir eine 4 tägige Safari gemacht, die einfach traumhaft war. Wir hatten sehr schöne Unterkünfte und ein cooles Auto mit viel Platz. Da wir Vogelliebhaberrinnen sind hat uns auch sehr gefallen, dass sich unser Fahrer extrem gut mit der tansanischen Vogelwelt auskennt und hat uns die Tiere immer gleich in einem Buch gezeigt. Nach der Safari haben wir noch über Materuni Tours eine 3,5 tägige Wanderung in den Usambara Mountains gemacht. Das war der Wahnsinn!! Die Natur ist traumhaft und wir sind durch viele Dörfer gewandert und haben einen tollen Einblick in die tansanische Kultur bekommen. Unser Guide Francis war sehr, sehr nett und lustig. Er hat die beste Guacamole der Welt gemacht und war sehr aufmerksam. Wir haben viele Chameleons gesehen und hatten einen unfassbaren Ausblick von über 300 km. Ich kann Materuni Tours nur empfehlen, es war alles top organisiert und auch, als wir spontan ein paar Änderungen vornehmen wollten, wurde sofort darauf eingegangen und es wurde umgesetzt. 7 day Machame Kilimanjaro & 2 day safari In February 2024 we climbed the Kilimanjaro using the Machame route in 7 days. The trek was organized by Materuni Tours, a local company. Ambrose, the owner of Materuni Tours knows his stuff and everything was very well organized. We had a great team of porters, the chef prepared delicious food and the guides were excellent. Also the stay at the Kilimanjaro Accommodation before and after the trek was very enjoyable with a great chef preparing meals on demand. The safari was a little bonus we had not planned before arriving in Moshi. It was again perfectly organized last minute by Ambrose. I truly recommend Materuni Tours, especially because it is locally owned.
