Choosing the Best Route for You
Kilimanjaro is a bucket-list climb for adventurers from around the world. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or a first-time climber, this trek is within your reach. Marangu Route (5-6 Days)
The “Coca-Cola” is the route with hut accommodations and a gradual ascent. The 5-day trek has no acclimatization day, while the 6-day trek includes a rest day at Horombo Hut for better altitude adjustment.
Machame Route (6-7 Days)
The “Whiskey” route, known for its stunning scenery and varied landscapes. The 7-day trek includes an acclimatization day, allowing for a smoother and more enjoyable ascent.
Lemosho Route (6-8 Days)
A quieter, scenic route that provides excellent acclimatization with gradual elevation gain, making it a great choice for those looking to increase their summit success rate.
Rongai Route (6-7 Days)
The only route starting from the northern side of Kilimanjaro, offering a peaceful trek with possible wildlife sightings. The 7-day option includes an acclimatization day to improve altitude adaptation.
Umbwe Route (5-6 Days)
The most challenging and direct route, best suited for experienced climbers. The 6-day option allows an extra day for acclimatization, reducing the risks of altitude sickness.
Northern Circuit Route (9 Days)
The longest and most scenic route, offering the best acclimatization experience with a slow ascent and breathtaking panoramic views.
