Morning – Departure from

Moshi Your day begins with a morning pick-up Around 7:30 am from your hotel  in Moshi  followed by a scenic drive of about one hour to Marangu Gate on the southeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro.

At the gate, climbers register with Kilimanjaro National Park before beginning the hike.

Rainforest Hike to Mandara Hut

The trail climbs gradually through dense rainforest, home to many species of birds and monkeys such as the black-and-white colobus monkey. Along the way, guides explain the plants, wildlife, and history of Kilimanjaro.

Lunch at Mandara Hut
