Rau natural forest is located just near from moshi town about 2km to the forest entry Gates and less than 45 minutes from Accommodations around moshi areas. The forest is blessed in many things of attraction in terms of the Flora and Fauna within the thickness of its large Forest. 

One of it biggest attraction is the Mvule tree (melicia excelsa) which attract most of the tourist from inside and outside the country to visit the area.it provides enough space for activities such as nature walking ,cycling, hiking, birds watching, butterflies watching, photography and filming and animal viewing ,research and studying,river view on the Rau river, and even worshiping..
Its unique forest features the view of most endemic trees ..such as the tik tik trees, palm oil trees, newtonia Buchanani, fig trees if different species.through safari walk and forest walls you will be able to spot the black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, dik dik antelopes and different kind of birds species..such as the bull bulls, eagles, white egrets, herons, and many varieties of species.
