Overview

Mweka route is recognized to be the shortest route path from and to the summit of Mountain Kilimanjaro, the route is mainly used in descending and is extremely used by seasonal hikers who use the route, due to its capability of not being able to provide good acclimatization, it’s slippery and its trails are steep, just after the Roof of Africa the route has the combinations of the route from ascents joining up the mweka route me for the descending, the route that is connected to the descending of the Mweka route are The Machame Route (Whiskey Route),

Lemosho Route, The Northern circuit Route , Shira Route and the umbwe routes whereby 5 of the 7 meet at the circle of Barranco Camp..Mweka route provides wonderful views of rocks and hard molten lava..one of the beautiful hikes in Kilimanjaro is pathing through this path..before reaching the Mweka camp via mweka route you will meet the millennium camp where hikers just from the summit pathing through the Kibo views all way down descending to the mweka Gate, along the way it’s carried with fascinating views from the top and butch numbers of trees, birds such as hornbills, turaco, and even eagles and buzzards sore in the sky. White and black colobus monkeys and blue monkeys jump from tree to tree. All the way down descending through the Gate To Mweka Gate.
